\nTrust in the Lord<\/span> forever,<\/span><\/strong>
\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>for the Lord<\/span> God<\/span> is an everlasting rock.”<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Isaiah 26:3<\/strong><\/p>\n

A couple of days before our departure from Spokane, a dear sister-in-law handed me a ripped out journal page with this verse written in big red letters on it. It was her prayer for us in a time of transitions and it became my prayer over the next few days of packing, leaving, and traveling.<\/p>\n

Perfect peace<\/strong>. Something that seems so impossible in our world of violence and suffering.<\/em><\/p>\n

A mind that is fixed on Him.<\/strong> Something that seems so impossible in our world of constant distractions.<\/em><\/p>\n

Eternal and surrendering trust.<\/strong> Something that seems so impossible in our world of cynicism and deceit.<\/em><\/p>\n

Yet, if I believe God’s Word is true and that He always keeps His promises, I have to believe that those things truly are possible. Possible with a God who delights in impossibilities.<\/p>\n

And yes, we experienced peace in the midst of the chaos of packing, peace in the car on the way to the airport in Seattle, peace as we held our sleeping boys on the airplane, peace as we were waiting to hear about our visa situation, peace as we’ve moved into new places to live\u00a0and a culture that feels new in many ways.<\/p>\n

PERFECT peace? A mind stayed on God? Unwavering trust? Nah, still working on that. But definitely peace and trust that were surpassing the circumstances which all seemed to scream “craziness!!!”<\/p>\n

Speaking of those circumstances, here’s the latest if you haven’t heard yet:<\/em> We will be in Germany until January 2017 because our resident visas and work permits were not approved on time. So now we’re searching for a church to get connected to and ministries to be involved with during our time here\u00a0We’ll also be moving into our more permanent home in about 2 weeks.<\/p>\n
