{"id":882,"date":"2015-01-03T07:22:41","date_gmt":"2015-01-03T15:22:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/asmaraanyan.wordpress.com\/?p=882"},"modified":"2015-01-03T07:22:41","modified_gmt":"2015-01-03T15:22:41","slug":"3-years-ago","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/john-anyan\/2015\/01\/03\/3-years-ago\/","title":{"rendered":"3 Years Ago&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>3 years ago, our parenting journey started. 3 years ago, our Baby Blueberry was born on a mild January night. 3 years ago we instantly fell in love with our chubby, Asian-looking, wrinkly, screaming baby.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Happy golden birthday, Judah!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Judah has become an independent preschooler who dearly loves his friends, has an imagination as big as the sky, likes things to be a certain way in a certain order, enjoys telling stories, is very protective of his Elias, gets overly excited over treats and movies, grows in his bilingual skills, and learns\u00a0new things every day (vocabulary words of the day: &#8220;Frozen&#8221; and &#8220;Olaf&#8221;).<\/p>\n<p>To celebrate his birthday, we had pizza, batman &#8220;cupcapes&#8221; (as Judah says it) and presents. And I interviewed the little man to get a glimpse of his 3-year old brain&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><strong>20 Questions for Judah:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>How old are you?<\/strong> I don\u2019t know\u2026three, Mama! I\u2019m three, Mama. I\u2019m three? I\u2019m four, Mama?<\/li>\n<li><strong>How old is Mommy?<\/strong> Three!<\/li>\n<li><strong>How old is Daddy?<\/strong> Four!<\/li>\n<li><strong>What is something Mommy says to you?<\/strong> Bakalakalo <em>(he likes to make up gibberish)<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>What makes you happy?<\/strong> Ruby. Layla <em>(He sure likes his girlfriends).<\/em><\/li>\n<li><strong>What makes you sad? <\/strong>Bears <em>(Me too, buddy)<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>What makes you laugh?<\/strong> Funny is the cat <em>(pointing to the cat outside)!<\/em> Cat\u2019s like this <em>(pretends to scratch the window)\u2026<\/em>hahaha (<em>starts giggling<\/em>).<\/li>\n<li><strong>What is your favorite thing to do? <\/strong>Sleeping and playing and running.<\/li>\n<li><strong>What\u2019s your favorite thing to do outside?<\/strong> Play outside with toys.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Who\u2019s your best friend?<\/strong> Selah and Ruby and Noelle and Sammy and Logan <em>(He must have forgotten to list his cousin Jonas, whom Judah asks for every day and hugs passionately whenever he sees him). <\/em><\/li>\n<li><strong>What are you really good at? <\/strong>Drawing\u2026. mmhhh\u2026.rhinos <em>(huh? Like drawing rhinos? Or drawing AND rhinos? Whatever that means&#8230;).<\/em><\/li>\n<li><strong>What\u2019s your favorite Bible story?<\/strong> Selah\u2019s Bible story \u2026 Noah!<\/li>\n<li><strong>What is God like?<\/strong> Layla\u2019s dinosaur <em>(No idea what he meant<\/em>). God is nice and big aaaaaand brave <em>(His answer after I explained what I meant).<\/em><\/li>\n<li><strong>Which superhero do you want to be? <\/strong>Superman and Batman. That\u2019s all.<\/li>\n<li><strong>What\u2019s your favorite food?<\/strong> Cookie and cupcapes<em> (Of course! He\u2019s been asking about his batman cupcakes every day since I\u2019ve told him he\u2019ll get them on his birthday).<\/em><\/li>\n<li><strong>What\u2019s your favorite book<\/strong>? Tiger book <em>(We don\u2019t own a single tiger book, by the way)<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>What\u2019s your favorite song?<\/strong> Old-Mc-Donald-Jesus-Loves-Me!!<\/li>\n<li><strong>What\u2019s your favorite color?<\/strong> Blue and pink and white.<\/li>\n<li><strong>What\u2019s your favorite animal? <\/strong>Dodo <em>(His word for elephant)!<\/em><\/li>\n<li><strong>What\u2019s your
