“Maaaaaamaaaaaaaa!” Judah runs as fast as his little legs and light-up Spiderman shoes can carry him across the soccer field. His face shines\u00a0with a wide grin as he races\u00a0toward me and gives me a hug that would make any mother-heart melt. Elias is not far behind as he half-runs-half-stumbles while chanting the one word that he has perfected so far: “Ma-ma, Ma-ma, Ma-ma…” He plants a slobbery kiss on my lips and then clings\u00a0to my leg just to make sure I don’t go anywhere without him…<\/em><\/p>\n

The reward for being gone from my boys all morning is coming home to welcomes like that. Priceless!<\/strong><\/p>\n

This week was our first week of the new semester, which brought many changes to our little Anyan family. For one, John has taken on the role of stay-at-home Daddy<\/strong> and has done a marvelous<\/strong> job not just managing the home and taking care of the boys, but also training them, teaching them, and nurturing them. I’m so very thankful for a husband who is so supportive to me and so proactive as a father!<\/p>\n

Here’s what the kids are doing when Daddy’s running the show:<\/strong><\/p>\n

1. They wear funny outfits.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Daddy! I look like a lumberjack without pants!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

You find a superman outfit…<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
\"...and<\/a>
…and have to show off….<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

…your mad superhero skills.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

2. They spend lots of time outside.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

John has only lost part of his sanity so far:<\/p>\n

And I’m staying\u00a0fairly sane as well, as I just started my semester of “Linguistics” (the study of languages). For now, that means:<\/p>\n

– Class time from 8AM – 12PM<\/p>\n

– Afternoon homework session from 1:20PM – 2:20PM<\/p>\n

– Several hours of homework at night<\/p>\n
