- enjoying serving with the Families in Ministry Department at New Tribes Missionary Training Center – with the former department coordinator leaving, John is taking on more responsibilities, including teaching more classes and more administration; Melanie continues to work with the finances for our department and finding other ways to fit in as we transition with losing 3 coworkers along with 2 other staff couples, discipling a small group of students, meeting regularly and growing together
- John is a deacon at our church and is finding ways to serve there, without getting too over-committed
- Melanie is taking time to make our new house a home and get things settled
- beginning her second year at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, studying Children’s Ministry
- after working full time all summer on campus dish crew, she is continuing the job part time during the school year
- serving on the MuKappa leadership team, the campus group for MKs (missionary kids)
- seeking God’s direction for future ministry with children
- living and working in Waukesha, WI – BJ driving a delivery truck for a dry wall company, Carissa driving a school bus
- taking care of health needs – Carissa has been diagnosed with fungus and mold toxicity as well as Lyme’s disease, BJ with lesser amount of fungus and mold toxicity
- hoping to attend Moody Bible Institute in Chicago fall 2014 and take the Jewish Studies program
- seeking God’s direction for future ministry with Jews
- living and serving on staff at New Tribes Bible Institute in Waukesha, WI – a 2 year commitment with Zach working with Information Technology (IT) full time and Bethany working part time in the office
- working part time off campus – Zach at a coffee shop, Bethany at a church child care
- looking into starting college courses in the spring semester – Zach with IT and Bethany with nursing
- seeking God’s direction for future ministry
- beginning his senior year at the public high school and taking several dual credit courses, which should give him 17 college credit hours when complete
- keeping busy with school activities outside of regular classes – member of A+ program, and an officer in Key Club and National Honor Society; tutoring math; playing on the high school soccer team
- after working full time all summer, he is continuing his job on weekends at the local golf course restaurant
- playing guitar for Praise Band on Sunday mornings at our church and at Youth Group on Wednesday nights
As you can see we are all keeping busy and are involved in a variety of activities. We appreciate your prayers for these activities as well as for each of our personal walks with the Lord
