I am so excited<\/strong> to tell you that God has seen fit to move BJ and\u00a0me on to our next step in His plan for our lives. Over the past many\u00a0months, we have seen His hand clearly directing us into full time\u00a0Jewish evangelism<\/strong>. To become better equipped for this work, we\u00a0have now officially enrolled for the 2014 Fall Semester<\/strong> in the\u00a0Jewish Studies<\/strong> program at Moody Bible Institute<\/strong> in Chicago,\u00a0Illinois.<\/span><\/p>\n

The past couple years have been a time of great learning and\u00a0growing for us, filled with many challenges and many truths revealed\u00a0about God\u2019s perfect plan<\/strong> and enduring faithfulness<\/strong>. As most\u00a0of you know, both of us have had some health issues. So we had put\u00a0off school until now to seek treatment in Waukesha, WI, where we\u2019ve\u00a0been since we graduated New Tribes Bible Institute in May 2011. BJ is\u00a0almost<\/strong> back to full health, but still lacking some of the vigor and\u00a0energy of a healthy 22 year old. My health is also still a cause for\u00a0prayer, as I am still battling Lyme\u2019s Disease<\/strong>, and dealing with\u00a0considerable pain and sickness as a result. At this point it would\u00a0still be too much for me to take on a full class load at Moody, so I\u00a0plan to enroll as a part time student, and we expect even this much\u00a0will be difficult. But we leave this as it ever was, in the hands of\u00a0our faithful Father<\/strong>, and would so appreciate your prayers for\u00a0healing<\/strong>, if it be His will<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Despite these continued challenges, we are ready<\/strong> and so excited\u00a0to move forward<\/strong>. Now begins the planning and packing and\u00a0figuring out of all the fun, technical details of getting ready for\u00a0school. We will both be done working by June 15th, when I am done\u00a0driving kiddos around in my bright yellow school bus! After that we\u00a0plan to spend most of our summer with BJ\u2019s family in Missouri, where\u00a0BJ will be studying and working to further his budding career in\u00a0web design<\/strong>. It is his goal to use this work to pay our way through\u00a0these next couple years of school. Because he will only work part\u00a0time, and I cannot work at all due to my health, we won\u2019t make enough\u00a0to cover our expenses. Please pray with us as we apply for\u00a0scholarships and wait on the LORD to provide<\/strong>. We are confident\u00a0that He is guiding us in this direction, so we are eager to see how\u00a0He will work it all out!<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

We invite you to partner with us in prayer<\/strong>, for \u201cthe\u00a0effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much,\u201d (James\u00a05:16). and stay connected with us as God moves us forward into His\u00a0work. We ask for your encouragement, input and accountability to\u00a0accompany us as we \u201cpress toward the mark for the prize of the high\u00a0calling of God in Christ Jesus,\u201d (Philippians 3:14) and endeavor to\u00a0walk with Him and make Him known.   • Pray that God will continue to provide financially for us to\u00a0go to school and continue Carissa’s treatment.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Pray that Carissa will continue to heal and be ready to study\u00a0alongside BJ in August.<\/span><\/li>\n
