We are enjoying spring in the Ozarks, even though the cold weather has lingered a little longer than\u00a0usual. It is amazing to think that, even with all of today’s technology, no human can change the\u00a0weather! Our God is still all-powerful and still in control!<\/span><\/p>\n

These past months we, along with John’s sister, have been helping John’s dad quite a bit, as he has\u00a0had some prolonged medical issues. Taking him to doctor appointments and getting various exams\u00a0done two hours away have provided some extra time with him that we’ve enjoyed. We are slowly\u00a0getting answers and slowly seeing improvements. Please pray <\/i>for his continued improvements.<\/span><\/p>\n

We continue to seek God’s direction for possible off-campus housing. We have made an offer on a\u00a0house and are waiting to see if it will go through. Please pray <\/i>for God’s will in this.<\/span><\/p>\n

Charity is finishing her 2nd of 5 semesters at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, studying Children’s\u00a0Ministry. She has been struggling financially all year, but, each time it looks like she may have to step\u00a0out of school because of her school bill, God has provided large amounts of money. Well, once again,\u00a0she is owing a very large amount that she needs to pay by May 2nd. We know that if God wants her\u00a0to continue there that He WILL provide. Please pray <\/i>for Charity to be encouraged in the Lord and for\u00a0God’s provision for her in His way and His time.<\/span><\/p>\n

We are finishing our second semester in our new ministry here at the Missionary Training Center and\u00a0continue to learn more about it and enjoy what we are involved in. Hearing about the Gospel being\u00a0presented for the first time amongst unreached people groups still thrills us and is why we are here\u00a0training new missionary candidates to take God’s Word to those who have never heard. It is what\u00a0YOU have a part in as you partner with us. Please pray <\/i>that we will finish the semester well,\u00a0especially with some extra busyness.<\/span><\/p>\n

With Bethany’s wedding less than 4 weeks away on May 26th, we are busy with preparations for that.\u00a0Many details are coming together and we are grateful for all of God’s provisions for the special event.\u00a0Please pray <\/i>for strength for us and for God to be glorified through it all. Please pray <\/i>that Bethany will\u00a0be able to finish her semester well (she graduates from New Tribes Bible Institute on May 18th) and\u00a0not be too preoccupied with the things still to be done. Please also pray <\/i>for Melanie’s stamina as\u00a0usually \u201cextras\u201d like this cause her fibromyalgia to flare up to some degree.<\/span><\/p>\n
