Besides all the material things God has blessed us with, God&#8217;s character alone gives us reason to\u00a0rejoice with thanksgiving! What an awesome God we serve!<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #805219;\">Thank you for your prayers as we went to the D6 Conference in Dallas, TX, the end of September. As we had\u00a0hoped, it proved to be very beneficial for our personal lives and our ministry. The theme \u201cAbide\u201d was a great focus\u00a0as we were reminded that, unless we are abiding in Christ, all the tools and ideas we gain and use are futile. It was\u00a0very enlightening and challenging to hear about the culture of today&#8217;s younger generation and to consider the world&#8217;s\u00a0influence on the Christian youth and how this affects families today.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #805219;\">The beginning of November we were able to go to Tennessee to celebrate our 25 th wedding anniversary (the actual\u00a0date is December 29th). We spent 3 amazing days at the beautiful Whitestone Country Inn, due to God&#8217;s provision\u00a0through an anonymous gift and the generous missionary discount of the innkeepers. We are so thankful for the time\u00a0we had to relax, reconnect with each other and the Lord, and to just get away from the busyness of life. It&#8217;s hard to\u00a0believe we&#8217;ve been married this long and we look forward to the next 25 years together!<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #805219;\">Our kids all came home for Thanksgiving! Our time together was short, but sweet, with some fun family time\u00a0together including a Thanksgiving meal with friends, shopping (gals) and\u00a0shooting fire arms\u00a0(guys), pancakes with\u00a0Grandpa, games, and watching movies. We are thankful, once again, for any time that we can have together.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #805219;\">December will find us traveling to Brazil. As you might remember, we sold our house in Brazil and we need to do\u00a0some paperwork for that, as well as other business, and we will also be able to renew our visas at the same time.\u00a0We are really looking forward to seeing many friends and having a chance to \u201cmatar saudades\u201d (kill homesickness).\u00a0We will also enjoy the warmer weather for Christmas!<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><em><span style=\"color: #805219;\">Please praise the Lord with us for:<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #805219;\">many safe miles traveled for partnership development, conferences, etc.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #805219;\">profitable D6 Conference<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #805219;\">some new folks that have expressed a desire to partner with us<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #805219;\">special anniversary celebration<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #805219;\">Please pray with us for:<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #805219;\">more partners to join our team<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #805219;\">our trip to Brazil \u2013 please pray for our actual travel, as well as getting the business done that we need to.\u00a0John &amp; Melanie fly down December 12th; Charity &amp; Josh fly down December 22nd; John, Melanie, Charity &amp;\u00a0Josh return December 31 st; Bethany and her boyfriend, Zach, fly down December 17th and return January 7th.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #805219;\">Thank you once again for partnering with us!
