The long-awaited-for day, July 7th, 2012, finally arrived! After months of preparation and anticipation, we\u00a0were so delighted to witness and celebrate the union of BJ and Carissa at their beautiful, God-honoring\u00a0wedding. Many relatives and friends were present which made the day that much more special. We are\u00a0excited for them as they begin their new life together! Please pray <\/span><\/i><\/strong>for them as they adjust to married life.<\/span><\/p>\n

Summer quickly flew by! Charity and Bethany (as well as Josh) were living at home for the summer and\u00a0working locally. We’re so grateful for the employment they all had, especially the girls, as they were saving\u00a0up as much as they could for school bills.<\/span><\/p>\n

Charity just started classes at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. Please pray <\/span><\/i><\/strong>for her adjustments (she’s\u00a0been out of school for two years and has never lived in Chicago!) and for finances for school bills.<\/span><\/p>\n

Bethany returned for her 2nd and final year at New Tribes Bible Institute in Waukesha, WI. Please pray <\/span><\/i><\/strong>for\u00a0her with the added responsibility of being an RA this year, as well as for employment.<\/span><\/p>\n

Joshua just began his Junior year at the local public high school. Please pray <\/span><\/i><\/strong>for his continued involvement\u00a0in the Praise Band at Youth Group, as well as his academic and social life at the local public high school.<\/span><\/p>\n

Please praise the Lord <\/span><\/i><\/strong>with us for the sale of our house in Brazil! After having it up for sale for almost a\u00a0year and a half, God brought along buyers—2 very trustworthy, fellow believer friends that we know from the\u00a0church we attended. We are so grateful for God’s work in the whole process. Please pray <\/span><\/i><\/strong>for\u00a0us as we are planning a trip to Brazil in December to sign papers and finish up the details of the sale. We\u00a0will also be looking for a home here in this area to purchase.<\/span><\/p>\n

Please pray <\/span><\/i><\/strong>for some ongoing medical issues we are trying to take care of. We need wisdom to know when\u00a0to pursue second opinions and which doctors to consult with, as well as God’s provision for these extra bills.<\/span><\/p>\n

August marked the beginning of our new ministry here in Roach, MO, at the Missionary Training Center,\u00a0where we help equip missionary families for serving overseas. We will send out another letter soon with a\u00a0ministry update to tell you more about what we are doing now. We are excited about the opportunities God\u00a0has given us! Please pray <\/span><\/i><\/strong>that we will be quick learners and that we’ll be ready and able to fit in to the\u00a0niches God has for us here.<\/span><\/p>\n

The last week of September will find us in Texas attending a D6 Conference. This conference is about\u00a0\u201cFamily Ministry—churches equipping parents to partner in discipling their own kids.\u201d It is all about\u00a0equipping and inspiring leaders, volunteers, and parents to effectively disciple the next generation through\u00a0the principles of Deuteronomy 6. Please pray <\/span><\/i><\/strong>for our time at the conference, that it will be very beneficial to\u00a0us and that it will enhance our ministry—both at MTC and at our church—as well as our personal lives.<\/span><\/p>\n
