God has been teaching me so much over the past several months. A lot\u00a0has happened so I will try to briefly summarize what God has been doing in my\u00a0life. After I got back from an amazing trip to Haiti in Aug. I jumped right back\u00a0into working in childcare again here at the New Tribes Mission Missionary\u00a0Training Center in Roach, MO. I worked in the Pre-school room and enjoyed it\u00a0a lot. I enjoyed being able to spend four hours every morning with the kids and\u00a0help them to learn colors, shapes, numbers and letters. I love how working with\u00a0kids gives me such a big opportunity to invest in their lives and impact them.\u00a0Working with kids has become an area that God has given me a huge passion\u00a0for. I’ve known for a while now that I wanted to work with kids but I wasn’t\u00a0sure if I should get schooling in that area and what kind of a degree I should get.\u00a0After praying about it and getting advice from different people, I realized that it\u00a0would be a good idea for me to go to college so that I could become better\u00a0equipped to work in an area that I love. Then I started the process of looking at\u00a0different colleges and degrees. Through a friend I heard about the Elementary\u00a0Education degree and realized that this degree will give me a lot of options as\u00a0far as working with kids. So right now I am planning on getting an Elementary\u00a0Education degree at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. I have applied to go to\u00a0Moody Bible Institute because I will be able to get this degree in just two years\u00a0since they will accept my credits from New Tribes Bible Institute. I am excited\u00a0about this opportunity that God has given me to become better equipped to work\u00a0with kids. I have no idea what I will end up doing after I get this degree. But\u00a0there are 4,000 different schools around the world that I could teach at,\u00a0including Christian Schools, International Christian Schools and Missionary\u00a0Schools. Since I am wanting to start Moody Bible Institute in Aug. 2012, that\u00a0means that I need to save up more money to be able to go. So I am moving\u00a0back to Waukesha, WI on Jan. 16 so that I can work full time and save up the\u00a0money I need.<\/p>\n

This past semester has been filled with many opportunities to just Trust\u00a0God. I am a human being and like to be in control of my life. So when God asks\u00a0me to do something that I wasn’t planning on doing, I have a hard time Trusting\u00a0God and doing what He wants me to do. Consequently God has been giving me\u00a0plenty of opportunities to Trust Him in all the different areas of my life. Why is it\u00a0so hard for us to Trust God rather than ourselves? He is the Creator of the\u00a0Universe! So why not Trust Him with Every area of our Lives?! I hope this new\u00a0year we are able to step out of our comfort\u00a0zone and just Trust the Creator of the Universe\u00a0in every area of our lives!<\/p>\n
