After a send off from sweet Steve and Paula Parker who came at 4:00 am (Can you believe it?) to help us with our piles of luggage, we made the long trip back to the US of A.
Thanks for praying for our flights, they all went smoothly. We had a few hiccups here and there at LAX but who doesn’t?
We made it to Rochester, MN last night exhausted and numb to stay with Jon’s lovely aunt and uncle who’ve opened up their home to us.
Thanks to Cam for making the round trip–she’s such a trooper!! We couldn’t have done it without her. The boys were thrilled to travel with Grandma.
Tomorrow morning 8:00 am we go in for Jon’s first appointment. It’s exciting and surreal to be going to Mayo!
You guys, It’s been a whirlwind of events: MRI results, packing and moving and flying across the world, so bear with us if we aren’t able to respond to all of the emails/Fb messages we have received.
We have gotten a lot of offers to help us–we appreciate everyone’s generosity! Thank you all!! It may take a little while to figure out what we are doing.
As we wrap our minds around everything we’ve realized: This month has been one year since we left the states for PNG. And what a year it’s been!!
Pray for us as we seek answers and help at Mayo Clinic. Pray for guidance to the right doctors and the right treatment for Jon’s stump.
“For the Lord gives wisdom; From His mouth come knowledge and understanding; He stores up sound wisdom for the upright; He is a shield to those who walk uprightly; He guards the paths of justice, And preserves the way of His saints.” (Proverbs 2:4-8 NKJV)
