What have we been up to since we got home? Homeschooling the boys, visits with friends and family, going through containers we left in storage here when we left for Papua New Guinea …Wondering why I packed away some things?! It’s amazing how quickly you lose sentimental value for things when you haven’t seen it for a year!
Jon jumped into a tractor to help out and I’ve been helping my mother-in-law clean up the aftermath of renovating their home. The boys are loving the farm they missed so much!
On the farm there is never a dull moment. But as we work, we both are antsy to “hurry up” to get back to PNG to help our co-workers, having seen the great need for personnel on the field.
But God graciously nudges us with, “Be still…Ps 46:10 And,”For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” Jer 29:11
The same God who has showed Himself faithful all along, hasn’t changed. He’s still working things all together for our good and for His glory!
Pray with us you guys, for renewed strength to do well everything that God puts before us during this season in life: waiting for healing, for Jon’s new leg, being recertified to fly, etc.
Even though we ache to be in Papua New Guinea, we have been enjoying seeing family and friends again. What a treat! We also look forward to some speaking events so we can meet more folks and thank you personally for all the love, prayers and support we’ve received!!
“Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place,” (Psalms 91:9 NKJV)
