This is just way too special we have to share! When we left PNG rapidly the 1st time, it was by Kodiak flying out of the JAARS/SIL airstrip.
Today Jon had the opportunity to fly back into this same airstrip, this time he was flying the Kodiak. Flying a Kodiak in Papua New Guinea, only 1 year & 4 months after his traumatic, life changing accident!! God is a God of miracles, who gave us the chance to come to PNG & once again fly for our missionaries. He is so faithful & we have seen He can be trusted.
Our sweet dear SIL friends greeted us at the airport. Loved it!!
Then to the SIL medical clinic where Jon was brought the night of the accident. We had to see it again, see some of the staff that were with us that night. (The two docs that were there that night are gone but will be back later this year)
You guys, talk about feeling like you’re in a dream! It was crazy to be in the clinic again, this time with Jon walking it-alive & alert. And for me with a clearer mind, we just stood there & it took it all in. Jon had lots of questions for the wonderful medical staff.
We are just thrilled that God has brought us back to PNG & He allowed us the chance to have closure as we start fresh in PNG this new chapter.
“Gracious is the Lord, and righteous; Yes, our God is merciful. I will offer to You the sacrifice of thanksgiving, And will call upon the name of the Lord.” (Psalms 116: 5, 17)
