Dangerous Cupboards

April 4, 2007 by

Carrie and Thomas

Some people are afraid to visit foreign countries. They say it is the extremely large insects that they do not want to meet. Or perhaps they claim to be highly allergic to cobra venom. One excuse is as good as another. One never knows how one will react when he looks death in the face. Recently I have crossed paths with poisonous snakes and scorpions. You never know what is lurking around the corner just waiting to make your life unpleasant or kill you. Fortunately, I am usually very calm and rarely have trouble finding a large stick to beat off vicious predators. That is why I was so surprised by the way I reacted when I put my hand into the cupboard last week. Heidi heard me holler all the way in the other room. “10 JARS OF PETER PAN! Aiiiiiiiii! One of them is half empty!!! Ahhh!!” I won’t tell you how I reacted, but none of the vicious jars were alive when I got done. I wonder if the peanut butter company accepts busted lids if they are mailed in. Like I say, one never knows how he will react when he looks death in the face.
