Traveling Philippines – Part 1

October 4, 2007 by

Steve with a friend

If traveling in the Philippines won’t teach you to be flexible, nothing will. A survey trip was organized to visit an area where NTM might want to work in the future.

We are not sure if the new missionaries, Chuck and Erik, were sent along to keep Jonathan out of trouble or the other way around, but whatever the reason, Jonathan enjoyed their company. To Jonathan’s delight, Steve volunteered to drive them in his vehicle.

A few hours into the trip they came across some young people selling a lizard, so they stopped to have a look. The lizard took a liking to Steve, but his passengers advised him not to buy it. Can you image him trying to drive with that thing running around inside the van?
