Late Update

April 11, 2017 by Jonathan and Heidi Bamford

I would have sent an update out on Monday, but I was distracted.

Actually, I can’t really pin the blame on the kids; there has been a lot going on. I am rushing to get as much translation checked as possible this week because one of my very good language helpers is going out to town to have her baby and it might be a while before she is able to help with translation again. There was also a flight, village visitors, and a guy with a kidney infection who was thankful to be able to fly to town for medical care.

The good news is, when the helicopter came, it brought in the children’s Bible story books that we have been waiting for. We are excited about distributing them on Sunday.

Helicopter leaving

We are also happy about being able to continue to make progress on the translation. This week we are reviewing suggestions that the translation consultant made for the Genesis portions.

Prayer Requests:
* For a safe baby delivery for Sylvia.
* For healing for Alayu, the guy with the kidney infection. He flew out to see a doctor when the helicopter came.
* That we would faithfully move the translation process forward.

Thank you for your prayers.
God bless,
Jonathan & Heidi
