Manila is a suitable place for catching jeepneys, seeing people (there are about 30 million), and having leadership meetings (a much smaller group). Thank you for praying for our meetings. They went well.
During times when I didn’t have meetings to attend, Heidi and I ran around getting errands done. Some of these were at a local mall. The mall has a capacity of 4 million people, so it’s hard to feel lonely. There are always plenty of people there on the weekends.
This week, New Tribes Mission announced its new name and logo which you see above. Ethnos being the Greek word translated “nations” (meaning people groups) in Matt. 28:19 and 360 being the number of degrees in the globe…wherever unreached people groups are found.
This week, Heidi and I are traveling north again and will be attending a meeting for all of our N. Luzon missionaries. We are looking forward to an enjoyable time of fellowship and encouragement for the great team that we work with.
Prayer Requests:
* That we would have safety in travel.
* That the time together with our N. Luzon co-workers would go well.
* Praise: Our regional center was able to purchase a new (to us) mini-van which will be a big help in the transportation department.
* Our daughter, Carrie, has her finals this week and would appreciate your prayers.
Thank you for your prayers.
God bless,
Jonathan & Heidi
