\nThank you for praying our trip to Manila to attend a three-week literacy workshop. We all arrived safely and are here with two other church planting teams that are also working on developing materials for their language groups. Everyone is working hard.

We have just about completed our first week together and have two weeks to go. We completed the first primer which was difficult because we had a limited number of words to work with. Now we are working on the second primer and our word list has increased, making it somewhat easier.<\/p>\n

Our goal is to produce a full set of teaching materials, like those pictured above, which will be a blessing to the school system and to adults who would like to learn to read. We are hoping that many people will become great readers who are able to read God\u2019s word in their own language.<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Please pray for endurance for all those involved in the literacy workshop.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Please pray that the materials produced will be a blessing to the Isnag community and the other language groups represented here.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Praise the Lord, the R-66 helicopter that you prayed for has arrived safely in the Philippines and made it through customs in record time. It is currently being assembled and will hopefully be ready to use in the near future.<\/p>\n
