{"id":960,"date":"2017-01-23T20:43:10","date_gmt":"2017-01-24T00:43:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/jonathan-heidi-bamford\/?p=960"},"modified":"2017-01-24T09:34:20","modified_gmt":"2017-01-24T01:34:20","slug":"acclimated-at-last","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/jonathan-heidi-bamford\/2017\/01\/23\/acclimated-at-last\/","title":{"rendered":"Acclimated at Last"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<div class=\"WordSection1\">\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span>Update for the Third Week of January 2017<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/?attachment_id=27178\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/files\/2017\/01\/img1-1-600x400.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600px\" height=\"400px\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-27178\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span>When we arrived in the USA in mid-December we felt very cold, but we knew that if we put on lots of sweatshirts and stayed close to the fire, but not close   enough to get a nose burn, we would eventually get acclimated and, sure enough, after four and a half weeks the temperature went up a bit and we were starting to feel reasonably comfortable. The next day we flew back to the Philippines.&nbsp;  <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/?attachment_id=27179\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/files\/2017\/01\/Img2-600x400.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600px\" height=\"400px\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-27179\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>\n<\/span><span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span>Our flight out of Seattle was delayed, and delayed again in S. Korea.&nbsp; We arrived in Manila in the wee hours of Sunday morning.&nbsp; Solomon is said to be the   wisest of men and he said that there is a time for everything.&nbsp; We took that concept to heart about 2:30 AM because, when you are the last passenger in the airport and there are no more bags on the conveyor belt it&#8217;s time to give up and report to Jonathan   the lost baggage man and go home, but not before getting a picture with him.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/?attachment_id=27180\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/files\/2017\/01\/img3-1-600x400.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600px\" height=\"400px\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-27180\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>\n<\/span><span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span>Our bag was eventually delivered and we are enjoying feeling warm again.&nbsp; We are also enjoying getting to know two new missionary families; the Thannums   and the Newbys. (Dan Thannum and his daughter pictured above.)
