Things Above

I don’t believe it is a coincidence that I read Colossians 3:1-4 during my devotional reading yesterday.  It doesn’t really matter what I am going through, the command to continually seek the things above is always a challenge.  But seriously, Lord, do you expect me to be able to focus on things above, where Christ is seated at Your right hand when I am going through “stuff”?  We are living in chaos and trying to figure out what we are going to do with everything and I am supposed to be seeking things above?  I have to honestly say my mind has not been extremely focused on the eternal these past few days.  I believe it is time to meditate on the fact that I am dead and my life is hidden in Your Son and that through HIS life this time of sorting, packing and cleaning can produce eternal fruit to Your glory!
