As in the days of Noah

The back stage tour was amazing...

Our time in Branson yesterday for Lisa’s birthday was such a blessing.  Not only did it give us a break from the packing but it was a huge encouragement.  Our host and provider of our tickets, Stephen Maddox, met us when we arrived at Sight & Sound and gave us a back stage tour before the show.  It was amazing to see close up the beautiful and intricate sets for various shows.  It shouldn’t really amaze me that our creative God has given man such skill and creative talent.

We thoroughly enjoyed watching Noah, even with the 20 minute break due to a tornado watch!  We know the story so well and have even seen the show before but we were still amazed at how seeing the story acted out makes it so much more real.

It was so encouraging to be reminded once again that God always keeps His promises and that even when we can’t always see what is ahead we can trust Jehovah God to be there and meet our needs.  It also reminded us that just as in the days of Noah many people today live unto themselves and are in desperate need of Christ.

After the show we were blessed to spend the evening with Stephen and his family.  We especially enjoyed talking with Stephen’s mom who has served in Mozambique and plans to return the end of June. It was neat to be able to learn more about where we will be serving.
