Please pray for our friends and coworkers as well as the city of Dakar. They have been out of water for two weeks now and are going into their third week. With the lack of water comes the risk of Cholera. There have also been protests due to the water shortage.
The barrel above sure is a help when the water goes out for a few hours or maybe even a few days, but would definitely not be enough for a few weeks.
It is hard to imagine what it might be like to be without water, an idea is to pray every time you find yourself using water. (i.e. flushing the toilet, taking a shower, getting a drink, using ice, washing laundry, washing your hands, preparing a meal etc.) This is the hottest time of the year in Dakar.

Pat and I will be praying each time we use water. It is something we take for granted. I get upset when we are camping and run short on water. So, I cannot begin to phantom being w/o for 2 weeks let alone going on 3. Is there any relief in sight? Keeping the people and your associates in Dakar in our prayers.

Hello to you from TN. WOW……….we remember the days in VEN when the water would be turned off, but do not remember it ever being off for that length of time. Isn’t that where Susan L is too? Yes, I take running water for granted and it was a good reminder to pray for the folks in Dakar. Lord’s blessings and our love and prayers for your family.

I can’t imagine being without water. I’m doing laundry, washing chicken and veggies, my hands, toilet, etc. Not good. I will pray when I’m using water. That was a good suggestion.
