Our arrival at the KOA was followed by encountering two young kittens running through the parking lot… and after we caught them and played with them for a few minutes, they followed us around everywhere. On our porch, around our van, into our cabin… they even followed us out to the pool (although they didn’t come in for some reason), and waited for us outside the bathroom. What fun!

Our drive today, only six hours from Colorado, went MUCH more quickly than the previous two days! Elayne and Titus continue to do well, and we’ve been greatly encouraged by how they’ve responded during the long car rides. Amy and I enjoyed another of John Hunter’s messages (this time on the importance of thankfulness in our walk with God), and enjoyed several games and sing-a-longs while we drove.

While we couldn’t imagine how this trip could be progressing any better, we are all definitely anticipating its (short-term) end! Tomorrow will not only end with our arrival in Tahlequah (Lord willing), but grant us an opportunity to visit with the kids’ Auntie Taylor (soon to be officially!) along the way. Her proximity to our temporary home in Oklahoma will be a great blessing, and we hope to visit Taylor and her family a few times before she and Amy’s brother Josh are married this November.

That’s about it for today! One more daily ‘as-we-travel’ post tomorrow, and we’ll be back to our usual about-once-a-week post schedule. Thanks so much for coming along with us as we’ve travelled… your comments, emails, and calls have been a huge encouragement to our family!

Trip so far: 22hr 49min, 1557.6 mi Today: 9:28am MST to 5:33pm CST Swimming was postponed today on account of kittens!
