This thing is really happening, so buckle up!

On Sunday, I headed down from El Paso to Chihuahua. Saying goodbye to Amy and the kids for nearly seven weeks was hard for us all… and after a week together at that future point, we’ll do it again for another four. Prayer for all of us appreciated, especially for Amy who is doing so much in my absence with four kids!

Shortly, my friend Don and I will head first to Mazatlán, and then on to Las Moras. Once we arrive, construction commences! Build updates and photos will be posted semi-regularly to our House Construction Status page (linked at the right of each page on our blog) – head there directly to see how things are looking. Less frequently, I’ll post updates here (which will generate ‘new blog post’ emails for those of you subscribed by that means – the best way to stay up-to-date!). We will try to keep updates coming on Twitter and Facebook as well, but – considering recent news about social media companies – I am going to begin recommending direct subscriptions.

I’ll ask your apologies in advance – actual blogs posts for the next few months will be rougher, less polished, at times extremely short, and so forth. I’ll try to keep prayer requests in each, but just click back to the last post with requests if you don’t see any. Likewise, replies to your kind emails will be delayed at times. Thanks for standing with us in prayer in this busy and challenging season of life, as God sends us out on the next step toward ministry among the Nahuatl people!

Quick Notes & Things I’ve Been Reading:

What does a ‘normal’ day look like in Las Moras?
