Hello world. Sooooooo here is another attempt in re-starting our blog. To be honest there are times in which I wonder how people are able to keep so many different web pages up to date. That’s when it dawns on me that maybe I have begun my downward spiral of no longer being on the front end of technology and that means that one day I will be saying “How do you…” Ohh man just typing that makes me cringe.
Okay so what is going on? Well here is a short summation of what we are doing and my hopes is that we will be able to add more in depth posts soon.
It is now 2016 and Faye and myself came to PNG in 2011. We currently live on an island off the cost of Papua New Guinea and our end goal is to be able to translate the bible into a tribal language, start a literacy school and teach through God’s word which would produce a strong mature group of Christians.
How is that going? Well we are still in the early stages of this work and the reality is this could take upwards of 20 years to accomplish. 5 down and many to go.
As of now we have established a presence on the island and as a family we live with the locals and are learning their language and their ways of life. We are about half way through learning language and are hopes are that we will be finished in the next year.
Okay so we will end here and in the following days You can be looking forward to the continuation of explaining what is going on in PNG.
That’s all for now
