Hello everyone. Today I am writing to you from cairns hospital. You might be asking yourself why am I in Australia? Well last Monday I began experiencing abdominal pain. Sickness and pain is common and pop in again and so we didn’t think much of it. However as the week went on the stomach pain subdued but the fever never went away. Thankfully we have doctors that I’m just a phone call away and after calling the doctor and running a few test he decided that it would be best if we came off the island. So Saturday morning we hiked down the island then boated to The mission where we met the doctor and he decided we needed to go to Australia due to appendicitis. Immediately we boarded the plane and six hours later we were in Australia after consulting with the doctor we began the surgery at 11 PM at night. So from Saturday morning at 7 o’clock we left bush houses and arrived at a hospital to remove my appendix.
We are so thankful for the doctors and the pilots who made this possible. If we didn’t have this support network in place who knows how we would’ve ever been able to make this work. Thank you to everyone who helped and got us here safely.
For now I will remain in the hospital for a couple more days as I heal up and then I need to stay in Australia to make sure everything is all right. This was a very unplanned and unexpected trip so we’re still trying to figure out how to make everything work. Thank you very much for your prayers And all the help that you have given towards us. Thank you that Butler family
