Well its been just about a month since we were evacuated from the island due to an appendix that was pulling its own weight. It’s been a good time trying to regain our feet after the whirlwind of location change. It honestly took about 3 weeks before life was even feeling some what normal again. The first week obviously wasn’t feeling normal as i laid in a hospital bed eating something that was labeled as food when i was less then a 5 minute from a mcdonalds. And i guess trying to get accustomed to “taking it easy” was also abnormal. But now we are pass those hurdles and are gearing up to going back to PNG.
So what’s on the agenda? Well we will not be going straight back to the island as we will be meeting 7 new missionary families who just arrived to the field. They are currently learning the national language and going through a process of becoming ready to go out to a tribe. We are going to spend about a month with them in hopes to be able to find some co-workers to join the work on the island. Currently its just Faye and myself on the island and their is far to much work for just the two of us. We greatly desire to be able to find someone to work with us so please be in prayer about possible co-workers.
After that we have our annual islands region conference and then we are back to the island.
Again thanks to everyone who has helped out during this time of recovery. We literally can not do this on our own.
