Mipela kam pinis!

July 29, 2015 by Josh and Mel Simmons

IMG_0405Mipela hamamas long lukim yupela olgeta!  We’re so Happy to see everyone!  We made made it back stateside on June 9th for those of you who have been following our globetrotting.  We spent the first 5 weeks in Missouri with Josh’s family where we enjoyed some sweet fellowship as we reunited with friends and family.  We even got to be involved in a VBS which was awesome.  After our time in Missouri we loaded up and road tripped to Norfolk, VA with pitstops in Kentucky and Tennessee along the way to see some friends.  We made it to Norfolk on July 25th and were greeted by Melody’s family which was nice.  Norfolk will be our center of operations while back on our 1 year home assignment.  So, if anyone wants to hear about what God is doing in Papua New Guinea give us a shout out or pull us aside in church, we’d be happy to share.

Being back is bittersweet as we are excited to reconnect with friends and family, but out hearts long to be back home in the Papua New Guinea where we’ve spent the last 3 ½ years.  God is doing miraculous things in the hearts of the tribal peoples of PNG where churches are being planted.  While we’re back our desire is to share these stories with as many people as possible so that God would receive maximum Glory for what He is accomplishing in PNG.  Please contact us if you want to hear some amazing real life experiences of life serving God in PNG.
