In case some of you have been wondering we are still alive. \u00a0We’ve just been keeping our heads down as the dust settles from the chaos of furlough preparations and planning. \u00a0Home assignment has presented\u00a0its own set of challenges that have at times seemed a bit overwhelming. \u00a0Coming from the Third world to the First world isn’t as simple as some may think. \u00a0For example, our children were fascinated with the moving sidewalks and escalators in the airports so much that people were staring and giving us looks of pity and sympathy reserved for new parents when their kids are doing something thats obviously not acceptable. \u00a0Such is Life.\u00a0\u00a0Oh, for sure we are excited to be here and are enjoying time with friends and family. \u00a0However, plugging\u00a0back into the “Matrix” of American culture is overwhelming. \u00a0Why? \u00a0Everything hear happens so fast. \u00a0There’s no time to think about what we’re doing! \u00a0We just kind of look around and do\u00a0what everyone else does, like a mindless flock of sheep. \u00a0Well, its been six months since we’ve been back and I think we’re doing ok. \u00a0The girls are doing great in school, excelling even…Hurray! \u00a0Mel has plugged herself in nicely at church in kids clubs, and is loving time with siblings, nieces and nephews. \u00a0And I, Josh, have also plugged in here and there at church and am enjoying lots of family time, and game nights with the guys. \u00a0Overall we’ve adjusted very well and are really looking forward to reconnecting with as may folks as possible before we head back to New Guinea in June. \u00a0Well that’s all I’ll say for now. \u00a0Please subscribe and share this on FB if you want to and Merry Christmas!<\/p>\n
