So Monday morning it was.
Josh’s surgery today went well. It seems that all the mass was able to be removed. Also, he was able to come home and recuperate here.
We won’t hear back from the pathologist, until later this week, so we wait for now, and he rests.
We really appreciate all the prayers. We were leery of sharing this news, as Emma was still up at Camp Barakel, and we didn’t want her to hear from someone besides us. We called her and let her know that Josh was having “a procedure” but not the extent of it. Believe it or not, news did get to her. Someone mentioned Josh’s cancer diagnosis (one of my biggest fears through all of this), but she said she wasn’t worried because both of us were calm on the phone when we talked with her. Isn’t that great? God met that need in a way I didn’t expect at all. Praise Him, for that!
This has been a hard couple of days for sure, and many more promise to come, but we know that even though we were surprised by all of this, God wasn’t. He is so good, and we can trust Him, no matter the outcome. Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus.
