We are nearing our allocation into the Jungle! Whoa. I am all thumbs when it comes to anything to do with construction. So the task of standing up three homes(ours and our two partners) is daunting … the idea of house designing is even crazier than that.Yet that is what we have before us.<\/p>\n

We have to design a structure that is temporary yet durable for years of living and working. It has to be functional yet somewhere our family can identify as home. It has to be simple yet meet the demands of transporting it via shipping container, small truck, plane and double motor canoe.<\/p>\n

It is intensely cool to be at this point but weird to think the first place we can call our own is going to be in a place where we cannot understand the language or culture at all.<\/p>\n
