#7 Go to Church<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

It might sound obvious that missionaries tend to go to church.
Out here church is an event that can take up most of the day on Sunday, and a fair amount of prep time during the rest of the week if you are sharing something. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For years church in Las Moras was made up of our four, adult team members. Later we were joined by Agustina and Milo and studied in Spanish. Then in April of last year our team began meeting with the Nahuatl people who had gone to the public teaching and had put their faith in Christ. This is a joy. It feels like a miracle; a gift from God that some here are trusting Him and believing His Word.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a sense, however, that is just the beginning of the story for our team. We long to see mature believers, who can feed themselves from the Word and rely on the guidance of the Holy Spirit. We want to see the people here sharing their faith, both with their loved ones at home and in the surrounding villages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the meantime we continue to disciple and let God do his work of sanctification, both in our own lives and in the lives of our new siblings. We meet together–bonding as a family–singing, praying, and studying the Word of God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We meet at the houses of the believers, or in the classroom attached to our house, or in the shade of a carport. We start when everyone gets there and finish when everyone leaves. We don’t have pews, or hymnals, or a projector, or a pulpit. We simply have a weekly family reunion focused on our Father. And man, it makes my heart glad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
