Recently I said my goodbyes to the people of Las Moras in order to go on a time of home assignment. But before heading to the US, I had a couple of stops to make. I flew out to the coast, then took a bus to the state capitol to pick up my paperwork, then back to the coast to take a jet to Chihuahua.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I was picked up by some of my favorite new coworkers (my mom and dad) and started prepping for several weeks of primer-development for the Guarij\u00edo team. The work with the team was the main focus of my time in Chihuahua, but I managed to squeeze in a variety of other fun activities this month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I presented about the Nahuatl work to the kids at the missionary school, to the young adults at the Bible school, at the ladies’ meeting, and at the local church where my new coworkers the Husband family attend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I helped my dad with school things, had meetings with the consultant committee, and did a short workshop for the missionary families currently in Spanish study. I got some much-needed training for how to help our missionaries with language-learning. I got together with old friends and caught up with my parents, hearing about their new ministries on the field of Mexico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The month has been chock full and sped by; in a few days I will be traveling to the border and then flying to New York, the first stop on a long list of places I will visit this year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thank you for praying for me during my home assignment. Ask for rest and rejuvenation. Ask for opportunities to share and encourage others with what God is doing in our team’s small corner of the world.
