class=\"wp-caption-text\">Dan being airlifted from the tribe<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong><em>Where He Leads Us, We Will Follow<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In late March our team awoke to what should have been a normal day.\u00a0 Dan had come down with a nasty bug, but we women had a good deal on our agendas: language learning, homeschooling Josiah, visiting with the neighbors, and maybe working in the garden for a bit.\u00a0 We were shocked when Dan began to have an allergic reaction to an injection of penicillin he had gotten earlier.\u00a0 We rushed for the<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_210\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-210\" style=\"width: 150px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-210\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/katie-moore\/files\/2011\/04\/doctor1-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"Mexican doctor who helped Dan\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-210\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Mexican doctor who helped Dan<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Mexican doctors, who were visiting our little village at the time.\u00a0 They were able to give Dan a shot which helped him breathe, speak, and move normally again.\u00a0 However, because he was still not recovering from his illness, they advised us to airlift Dan to the city.\u00a0 We praise the Lord for his care and for saving Dan.\u00a0 During the next few days, as he began to recover wholly, our team continued to give thanks.\u00a0 Scary things may happen, but we are not afraid.\u00a0 We know in whose hands we rest and we know that he led us here.\u00a0 And if we follow where he leads us, the path cannot be wrong.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>From Tribe to Civilization and Back<br \/>\n<\/em><\/strong>As we wait for Dan to recuperate, our team is enjoying some time at our coworker\u2019s house in town.\u00a0 We are back in civilization for a bit, enjoying internet, hot showers, and cold Cokes.\u00a0 During this time Josiah and I have been attempting to finish up the school year early.\u00a0 With just the two of us, we can work at a faster pace and will hopefully wrap things up at the end of April.\u00a0 This will allow me to work on language learning when we head back in to the tribe.\u00a0 Once we get back to Las Moras, our team will host another dental clinic and close things up for the rainy season. \u00a0We are not certain of our exact plans, but we know we will be out of the tribe so that Dan can continue to seek medical help in the U.S. for his dynamic has recently changed, as the Davis family has begun a new phase of ministry in the city of Chihuahua.\u00a0 We are happy for the needs they are meeting in their new home, but will greatly miss them.\u00a0 The field leadership has asked that we be open to considering new partners, so we ask prayer for wisdom and guidance in that process.\u00a0 Change is never easy, but we rest in a God who
