One strand of low-energy lights is aglow,
\nAnd we hope that it won\u2019t run our batteries too low.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

A cute little pine tree\u2019s propped up on one shelf
\nAnd our coworkers just forced us all to watch Elf<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The village is resting; the day\u2019s work is through
\nThe field has been planted; the corn\u2019s been ground, too.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Each family is sleeping, four or five to a bed
\nAnd who knows just what visions might dance in their heads.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

There\u2019s no chimney here for Saint Nick to come down,
\nBut that\u2019s quite alright; he\u2019s unknown in this town.<\/p>\n

They don\u2019t know about cookies or reindeer or toys
\nOr shepherds and angels and News of Great Joy.<\/p>\n

So pray for the Nahuatl as Christmas day nears
\nPray that new hope will replace all their fears.<\/p>\n

Ask that the Nahuatl will see with new sight
\nThat a land filled with darkness will be flooded with light.<\/p>\n
