{"id":53,"date":"2009-10-04T17:52:25","date_gmt":"2009-10-04T21:52:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/katie-moore\/2009\/10\/04\/53\/"},"modified":"2009-10-23T22:49:48","modified_gmt":"2009-10-24T02:49:48","slug":"53","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/katie-moore\/2009\/10\/04\/53\/","title":{"rendered":"Summer Travelogue, Part III"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"center\"><strong>Summer Travelogue, part III<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><strong>July 12<sup>th<br \/>\n<\/sup><\/strong>Visited my church in Wyoming Park, MI with the Davis family.\u00a0 Shared about my future plans; had a great time with people who have really become a \u201chome\u201d church to me.\u00a0 Later that week, I got the chance to help out at VBS and get to know more of my brothers and sisters at the church there.\u00a0 Spent some quality time during these weeks with my wonderful family.<\/p>\n<p><strong>July 19<sup>th<br \/>\n<\/sup><\/strong>Had the privilege of sharing with my \u201cother\u201d church, Pleasantview Family, in Dowling, MI. \u00a0The Davis family accompanied me again and got to share my commissioning service.\u00a0 Received a check for all of the bricks I will need to build my house in the tribe, as well as the generous gift of the laptop I am writing you on right now.\u00a0 You amaze me, guys.\u00a0 What a blessing.<\/p>\n<p><strong>August 3<sup>rd<br \/>\n<\/sup><\/strong>After days of packing and sorting, I hopped in the car at 3 am and headed to Missouri.\u00a0 I spent my last days in the U.S. saying good-byes, eating great summer food, and packing up the truck with my co-workers the Alkires.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<strong>August 10<sup>th<br \/>\n<\/sup><\/strong>Road trip time, baby.\u00a0 For the next two days 5 adults, 5 children, an SUV, a truck, a van, and what seemed like 2700 boxes hit the road from Missouri to El Paso, TX.\u00a0 We spent two nights at the mission guest house before heading into Mexico.<\/p>\n<p><strong>August <sup>17th<br \/>\n<\/sup><\/strong>After a week of orientation and meetings, as well as fun dinners with my new co-workers in Mexico, my teammate Rachel Chapman and I hitched a ride down to Durango, Mexico.\u00a0 Durango is where our entire team lives for the next months as we try to build our homes in the tribe.<\/p>\n<p><strong>September 1<sup>st<br \/>\n<\/sup><\/strong>Still slated for the first day of school, despite the fact that we have not received the keys to the houses we will be renting, need to unpack, clean, and set up a classroom.\u00a0 Lots of challenges, lots of excitement, lots of things to pray about.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><strong>THANK YOU!<br \/>\n<\/strong>Your prayers and encouragement have been felt by our entire team.\u00a0 We have seen so many details come together, so many decisions directed by his hand, so many would-be set-backs used by God for the advancement of his workers, his plans, and his work.\u00a0 Praise him!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>September 1st<br \/>\nStill slated for the first day of school, despite the fact that we have not received the keys to the houses we will be renting, need to unpack, clean, and set up a classroom.
