A few days ago, I sat down and wrote some letters to my Nahuatl friends in the village. \u00a0No one on our team has been in touch with them for about six months, and we were thrilled when our coworker told us a missionary pilot was going to take him for a quick visit to Las Moras. \u00a0We emailed some notes, which he printed off and delivered.<\/p>\n

Naturally, I’ve never written letters in Nahuatl before, so I’m not sure if my “form” was very good. \u00a0On the other hand, my friends have never received letters in Nahuatl before, so I’m sure they’ll be forgiving. \u00a0Most of them will have to find a child or neighbor to read the letter to them, anyway. \u00a0But I hope the message was clear: we miss you, we’re coming back, we can’t wait to be part of the life we have there.<\/p>\n

And in my letter to Agustina: be encouraged in the Word, keep studying, we’re praying for you, we love you. \u00a0I thought of the letters we have in the Bible and Paul’s prayers for the baby churches he knew: stay strong, keep the faith, walk in the truth.<\/p>\n

Only a few months and our team will be together again, return to the village, and be reunited with our Nahuatl friends. \u00a0We will teach literacy classes, continue to translate the Bible, and begin to teach the truth of the Word of God. \u00a0Please pray for your fellow believers Agustina and Hermilo and that many other Nahuatl will join them in understanding their need for salvation.<\/p>\n
