Unreached in the Andes

During the past two weeks, it was a privilege to participate in a seminar with Peruvian partners on how worldview impacts ministry. Represented among the participants were seven churches, four mission organizations, a mission training school, and a number of individuals involved in Gospel ministry.
Included in the participants was a team from a local church high in the Andes in southern Peru. This team makes weekly trips even higher into the Andes reaching out to Quechua villages that have no access to the Gospel – no opportunity to hear God’s story of love demonstrated in Jesus.
The seminar about worldview was particularly important to this team as they seek to share Christ with people who have been conformed to a religion outwardly, but inwardly cling to deep-seated animistic beliefs.
