{"id":238,"date":"2015-04-10T10:47:37","date_gmt":"2015-04-10T14:47:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/kenneth-jack\/?p=238"},"modified":"2015-04-10T10:48:53","modified_gmt":"2015-04-10T14:48:53","slug":"happy-resurrection-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/kenneth-jack\/2015\/04\/10\/happy-resurrection-day\/","title":{"rendered":"Happy Resurrection Day!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dear Praying Friends, \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 April 1, 2015<\/p>\n<p>Here in snowy Michigan we definitely feel like a crocus flower, lifting its head up after the long winter.\u00a0 Students can be seen studying outside again, our kids\u2019 bikes are out of storage, senior saints are returning from parts southern, Andrea is eager to plant up her tiny vegetable plot, and everyone is gearing up for the flurry of recitals and graduations that will pepper the weekends of the next two months.<\/p>\n<p>New Tribes Bible Institute here in Jackson, Michigan, is graduating about 75 students this year&#8211;24 in December and the rest in May.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 A group of singles are visiting New Tribes\u2019 Missionary Training Center in Missouri over spring break; one family expects to be in Cambodia by next year, serving under another mission.\u00a0 Some are planning weddings; some are planning internships back at their home churches.\u00a0 Some are praying about how to be Christ\u2019s heart and voice to family members going through difficult situations.\u00a0 All have chosen an \u201cevangelism partner\u201d&#8211;an unsaved friend they are praying for, witnessing to, and offering to have a Bible study with.\u00a0 (See pictures at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ntbi.org\/videos\">http:\/\/www.ntbi.org\/videos<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the students above, thanks for remembering the following:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;April 5 Our daughter Sarah is following the Lord in believer\u2019s baptism this Easter, along with several other people.\u00a0 Pray for their witness to unsaved family attending.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;April 16-19 a group of students and staff will visit the sister campus in Wisconsin for a bi-annual sports competition.\u00a0 Ken is one of the coaches.\u00a0 Please pray for fellowship, teamwork, and safety for those competing.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;May 18 graduation; pray for families of graduates to be encouraged as they release their children and grandchildren to serve around the world.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;Andrea rejoiced to see her sister Kary\u2019s wedding in January.\u00a0 A small evening job helped with the travel costs; next it should help get our girls started on braces. (We do still need to see an increase in our overall support level, but thank the Lord that we were able to decrease our rent and phone expenses this year.)<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;Praise the Lord for how he continues to work in New Guinea\u2019s Sepik region and among unreached people groups [UPGs] around the world!\u00a0 (Hear Fato\u2019s story at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.Youtube.com\/user\/NewTribesMission\">www.Youtube.com\/user\/NewTribesMission<\/a>.)
