There still remain several checks it must go through before it is considered a finished translation. One of these is the content check.<\/p>\n<p>Our coworker Dan has been working on doing this, going over the translation with a fine tooth comb, checking it against the Greek and English versions, verifying that nothing has been left out, nor anything inadvertently added to the text. He also has been coming up with some good questions regarding the best way to translate certain verses.<\/p>\n<p>Then Kirk takes this input and decides what changes might need to be made to the translation. Once we return to Landuma land, Masalu and other Landumas will help verify for us where changes are really needed, and what the most natural ways to express the new wording is.<\/p>\n<p>We are glad we can at least make a little progress on the translation while here in the States!<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>PRAY for sharp minds that we might be careful and accurate as we check the Landuma translation.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>During our last term in Guinea Kirk and Masalu finished translating the initial, \u201cmother tongue\u201d draft of Romans in the Landuma language.
