We hope you enjoy the collage above as much as we do. All of the pictures were taken several years ago, and some of these Landuma kids are now young men and women. Each is growing up, little by little giving up their childish ways. When we are in the village, Kirk has the opportunity to teach several of them God’s Word. And a few continue to hear it while we are away, as Masalu and Abulay continue to teach their families and others.<\/p>\n

But, like the rest of us, sadly, many hang on to some of their immaturity on into adulthood, often because they don’t know and believe the truth of God, which brings true mental and spiritual growth, true maturity.<\/p>\n

Our goal among the Landumas is not only to preach the Good News of salvation in Jesus, but also to disciple believers into thriving churches.<\/p>\n

Him we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone mature in Christ.<\/span> \u00a0Colossians 1:28<\/p>\n

But solid food is for the mature, for those who have their powers of discernment trained by constant practice to distinguish good from evil.<\/span> \u00a0Hebrews 5:14<\/p>\n

To become mature in Christ, believers must be spiritually nourished on the Word of God. So we labor to translate the Bible into the Landuma language, and to teach it to whoever is willing to listen.<\/p>\n

Epaphras,\u2026a servant of Christ Jesus,\u2026[is] always struggling on your behalf in his prayers, that you may stand mature and fully assured in all the will of God.<\/span> \u00a0Colossians 4:12<\/p>\n

But the Landumas need more than the Word. They need prayer. Your prayers for us and for the Landumas are critical to seeing a thriving church among them become a reality.
