Aren\u2019t you curious about the taste?)<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Things are changing drastically and rapidly in tribal settings as well.\u00a0 Tribal people become <\/b><b>aware of money and the dark sides of civilization even before they listen to the true gospel<\/b><b>. <\/b><b>It is easy for <\/b><b>them to get <\/b><b>more interested in <\/b><b>materials <\/b><b>rather than spiritual <\/b><b>truth <\/b><b>they desperately need. This place seems to be getting spiritually darker and darker. Please be praying for us to stand firm <\/b><b>in the <\/b><b>light of the Word, and for them to come out into the <\/b><b>True <\/b><b>Light, our <\/b><b>Lord Jesus Christ! <\/b><\/p>\n<h3><b>Three Moves in Three Months<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><b>It\u2019s been more than three months since we came to Papua. We already moved three times. In this stage,<\/b><b>w<\/b><b>e learn to talk about our life\u00a0<\/b><b>stories, opinions, worldviews, etc.\u00a0<\/b><b>b<\/b><b>eyond the everyday language. \u00a0<\/b><b>Also, we should know how to <\/b><b>speak differently according to <\/b><b>time differences, and how to <\/b><b>connect sentences and paragraphs <\/b><b>smoothly. Besides, we need to be <\/b><b>g<\/b><b>ood at descriptions,<\/b><b>comparisons,<\/b><b>contrasts, and explanations\u00a0<\/b><b>concerning abstract things. On the <\/b><b>top of all these, we face the bunch of new vocabularies everyday. We spend <\/b><b>a long time memorizing; it takes less than a second to forget them.\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<h3><b>Please Pray for Us!<\/b><\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li><b> Health &amp; Safety:<\/b> <b>There are fellow laborers suffering of dengue fever. Also accidents and incidents take place frequently. Pray for health &amp; safety for missionaries &amp; families here.<\/b><\/li>\n<li><b><\/b><b><\/b><b>Language Helpers Wanted:\u00a0<\/b><b>Haejung needs a new LH; it is\u00a0<\/b><b>h<\/b><b>ard to find someone who can\u00a0<\/b><b>t<\/b><b>each the high &#8211; level language.\u00a0<\/b><b>She needs LHs who can share\u00a0<\/b><b>friendship with her.<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li><b><\/b><b><\/b><b>Team formation: <\/b><b>We need to\u00a0<\/b><b>form a tribal work team in\u00a0<\/b><b>order to do tribal survey trips.\u00a0<\/b><b>Pray for us to become humble,\u00a0<\/b><b>considerate teammates.<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol start=\"4\">\n<li><b><\/b><b><\/b><b>Teachable Attitudes:<\/b><b> Pray for\u00a0<\/b><b>u<\/b><b>s to learn the language, culture, and worldviews with a humble, open attitude.<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol start=\"5\">\n<li><b><\/b><b><\/b><b>Spiritual Growth:<\/b><b>Pray for us to take advantage of tough circumstances here to make us grow in faith, for us to look to the Lord so that we may overwhelmingly conquer, and to totally depend on and obey Him every moment.<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><b>\u201cHow blessed it is to live a normal life!\u201d What a fellow worker said remains in my mind. We can hardly enjoy little pleasures of life such as good food or leisure activities in here. I often crave things I used to enjoy in Korea; I know that our normal life itself is like a miracle here, because this place is full of dangerous factors which can destroy our normal life in an instant, like diseases, accidents, or crimes.
