\"\"<\/a>Over the past several months, Bible teachers from our village have been hiking 5 hours to another village where people had asked that someone come and teach them. That village had heard from people in our village that they had the “message of life<\/strong><\/span>” and they wanted to know more! We reported about this in a previous blog entry. Click here to read that>><\/a><\/p>\n

Using the chronological approach to the gospel, the Bible teachers taught that crucial \"\"<\/a> lesson last week that it was God Himself in the person of Jesus Christ who took our sin and gave us His righteousness through His blood shed on the cross!<\/p>\n

Praise the Lord<\/strong><\/span> with us that they are rejoicing in this truth! About ten people have been faithfully listening and a few others have been sitting in from time to time.<\/p>\n

This weeks lesson will be on the resurrection and ascension of Christ. After that, the church leaders will evaluate each one to see if they truly understand the message. These new believers will then be taught those same Old Testament stories but now with the spiritual eyes and with application to Christ.<\/p>\n

Those who have believed<\/strong><\/span> the message have told their friends and family that they too should listen. This means that there will be two groups; the new believers and others who, because of the testimony of this first group, want to hear the message.<\/p>\n

So, please pray<\/strong><\/span> with us for these Higaunon Bible teachers as they teach and pray for the growth of these newborn believers as well as conviction of God’s Spirit on those who have started to listen.<\/p>\n

Also, please continue to pray for more laborers. Eight other villages are asking for someone to come teach them. Indeed, as Christ said in Luke 10:2\u00a0 … “The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth laborers into his harvest.<\/em>”<\/p>\n
