Merry Christmas from us to you!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Luke 2:8-11 \u2014 No<\/em>w there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by <\/em>night. And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid. Then the angel said to them, \u201cDo not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Holiday greetings from Oklahoma! While moving has been quite an adjustment, we\u2019re especially glad to be near our son Robert and our grandson Ean during the holidays.<\/p>\n

This Christmas, let\u2019s recall that the \u201cgood tidings of great joy\u201d are for \u201call people.\u201d Please pray with us that God will raise up and send forth laborers to reach the remaining people groups who have not heard of the Savior. Please pray for workers who are committed to getting the job done, as well as for the partners they need on their teams!<\/p>\n

In less than two months we return to the Philippines. Here are some concerns we invite you to pray about with us:<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Oklahoma house purchase? \u2014 We\u2019re asking God to clearly show us if He wants us to purchase a house here in Oklahoma. Many of you have donated money toward our potential house purchase, and we are very grateful. Please let us know if you want to learn more\u2014or if you want to give.<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Internet access in the Philippines? \u2014 Until earlier this year we had consistent Internet access in the village; but that has changed! It seems we now have only one option: Re-install the satellite dish and modem, and purchase a new, very expensive system. Please pray!<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Translating Isaiah \u2014 Lance has made good progress on the rough draft of Isaiah, and he will probably be done by the time you read this. He looks forward to going through the book with his translation assistants. Verses like Isaiah 9:2 have particular meaning: \u201cThe people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; those who dwelt in the land of the shadow of death, upon them a light has shined.\u201d Thanks for praying!<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Scheduling SYIS \u2014 Please pray that God will work out all the details for a Sharpening Your Interpersonal Skills workshop in Manila in June 2015. We\u2019ve also been asked to join the SYIS facilitation team for a Kansas City, MO workshop the first week of August 2015 (by which time we will be back in the U.S.).<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Enjoying our family \u2014 We\u2019re pleased to see how God is using our children where He has planted them. For example, our son Robert is an art teacher; and when we\u2019re \u201cout and about\u201d with him and he encounters his students, it\u2019s gratifying to see how much they love him. Thank you for praying for Robert and Ean. Also, please pray for our daughter and her family, who are serving the Lord overseas.<\/p>\n

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your loved ones! Thank you for partnering with us in serving the Higaunon people.<\/p>\n
