Home again<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We got home last Friday after about 4,000 miles on the road. We slept in 14 different beds, shared in 6 different churches and two Vacation Bible Schools, plus a home meeting with about 30, mostly young, people! Wonderful visits were had with family (we\u2019ve now seen all of our siblings since being back from the Philippines!) friends and ministry partners! We love sharing what God has done and is doing, and YOU are a vital part as you partner with us.

God granted us SAFETY and we thank you for praying and praise GOD for answering! On our arrival in Western New York State we had two bad front tires (broken belts) and a crack in our windshield. God graciously provided for both those needs. Also, we both had a nasty virus, but thank the Lord that didn’t last long and we’re currently both doing well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Home repair<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

When we got back from the Philippines we discovered that the patio door had rotted across the bottom and needed replacing. God provided for new doors and a friend from church who was able to do the job. As you can see by this picture, there was more involved that just replacing the door! Please pray as we look for someone to put gutters up so this doesn’t happen again. Thank you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Translation ongoing<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Lance continues to work in 2 Chronicles for the Higaunon Old Testament translation. Please keep praying for wisdom for him. When we think of our team of ministry partners we are extremely grateful for each one of you! Do keep us informed of your prayer requests as we pray for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Challenge<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

One of our goals during our road trip over the past 6 weeks was to challenge people, especially young people, to remember: wherever God places us, we need to remember those around the world who have never heard the name of Christ. There are two things in this world that will never pass away, the souls of every person, and the Word of God. We are to be living our lives accordingly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the special things we got to do on our trip was to go the Museum of the Bible in Washington, DC! A quote we saw there really spoke to our hearts: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In church this past Sunday, our pastor quoted Thomas Guthrie which also spoke to our hearts: \u201cThe Bible is an armory of heavenly weapons, a laboratory of infallible medicines, a mine of inexhaustible wealth. It is a guidebook for every road, a chart for every sea, a medicine for every malady, and a balm for every wound.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
