Our hope<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Before we begin with our news, we want to say how thankful we are for the hope we have in Christ – and the opportunity we’ve had over the years to minister among the Higaunon and the part many of you have in this ministry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earlier today we received a message from a Higaunon young man. While he was still quite young, both of his parents passed away. Today he reached out and asked if we had any photos of them. Lance sent him two pictures. One, above, it\u2019s of Lance and Ron about to baptize Indong, the man\u2019s dad. The other picture on the right is of his mom. After he saw the pictures, he said he misses his parents, even after all these years. But the main thing was that he expressed thankfulness that he will see them again one day. Praise the Lord!<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Work<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Thank you for praying for us. Lance continues working on the translation of the Old Testament for the Higaunon. He is working on Ezekiel, which is a very challenging book, as you can imagine!\u00a0

He\u2019s also involved in an online SYIS course titled \u201cGrowing Through Conflict<\/a>.\u201d And we\u2019re also facilitating a Bible study at our church. We\u2019re so thankful to be involved in these areas and see God at work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our coworkers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Ron and Michelle Jennings left the village and spent a couple of weeks in Papua New Guinea, visiting their daughter and family, before arriving in Australia for their home assignment. Pray with us for their refreshment and encouragement as they spend time with family and partners in ministry. Since they are on home assignment, it means they won\u2019t be in the village while we are there. You can begin praying with us now for our adjustments to village life since we\u2019ve been gone for more than 2 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Outreaches<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

\u00a0We received an email recently from Jennings of news from the village. We are rejoicing to learn that the gospel continues to go into more villages where Higaunon live. Thank you all for being part of the work HE is doing there. Pray for our Higaunon brothers and sisters as they move into these villages and begin teaching God\u2019s word to them. We know Satan doesn\u2019t like giving up some territory he\u2019s held for years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Plans<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We are thankful for the opportunity to finally return to the Philippines. Lord willing, we will return in late January and stay until the second week of June so we can attend our organizational conference that month. We\u2019d love to see coworkers from around the country before we return to the USA. Please pray with us for all the details to come together, airline tickets being one of the main things!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
