At the airport<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Before we left our Oklahoma home, we asked God to use us along the way to be a blessing\u00a0to others. As we were leaving the TSA line at the airport, God put Tasa in our path. Not having flown\u00a0very much, she was a bit stressed. As we shared\u00a0with her, we\u00a0found out that she is a strong believer. What a joy it was to\u00a0pray\u00a0with her and\u00a0encourage her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Having arrived two hours early at our gate, we decided to do some walking. As we passed by some\u00a0airline ground crew, we overheard one of them say jokingly, \u201csomebody hates me!\u201d That was a comment we couldn\u2019t ignore. And so we met Jana who has worked for the airlines for 31 years. One of her\u00a0prayer requests was that she wanted to understand the Bible better. So we shared the link to\u00a0The\u00a0Stranger on the Road to Emmaus<\/a>. Since then, she has texted several times and commented that she is\u00a0enjoying the book. In her last text, she mentioned that she needed the blessing we were to her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Manila<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Here\u00a0we purposely extended our time to visit long-time friends at their church. We had a\u00a0
wonderful time with the Perkins and others at their coffee shop,\u00a0The Cup of Faith. After the church service,\u00a0we spent time\u00a0praying with several people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mindanao<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Our flight to Mindanao was around noon on January 30th, and we made it safely to the guesthouse in time\u00a0for the evening meal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The next few days we busied ourselves with shopping, packing, and visiting with long-time friends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Into the village<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We\u00a0fully expected to unpack everything at our house and get settled in. Little did we know that termites\u00a0had been very busy over the past two and a half years. So, we are staying at our coworker\u2019s house. It\u2019s\u00a0convenient that Ron and Michelle are on their home assignment until June. They are graciously\u00a0allowing us to live in their home. As we wait for building supplies to be flown in, Lance has been working on the initial checking of Ecclesiastes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
