News From the Village: <\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The other day our coworkers, Ron and Michelle (in the picture above), told us that due to flooding, the hydro-generator stopped working. The batteries didn\u2019t hold their charge because of their age. Unfortunately, all of Ron’s hard work resulted in some serious pain! That made him realize that we need to get new batteries, so this doesn\u2019t keep happening. Thank you for praying for God’s protection, provision, and direction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eight Years:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Our Facebook memories reminded us the other day that it\u2019s been a full eight years since we moved into our Oklahoma home. However, we realized that we\u2019ve only spent about half of those eight years actually living here. Life has kept us on the move.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For example, a couple weeks after returning from the Philippines in June, we traveled to Laura\u2019s hometown, where we spent three weeks with family and supporters. From there, we traveled to Tennessee and South Carolina before returning home. Then this past month we traveled to Indiana, where we shared about our ministry in a supporting church. The week after we got home, we flew to Philadelphia, where we rented a car and drove to Delaware where we spent time with a long-time ministry partner. Then we drove to New Jersey to visit other supporters and attend their daughter\u2019s wedding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because we couldn\u2019t be in two places at once on that weekend, Lance\u2019s brother represented us in his church in Tennessee by setting up a table with literature about our ministry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, we have started looking for tickets for our next trip to the Philippines. We plan to leave in early to mid-January. In all this, we are thankful for how God has allowed us to have a place to call home here in the US.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Translation work:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Thank you for praying for Lance as he is trying to finish up his work on Ezekiel. He has spent many hours reading and listening to teachings about the last eight chapters of the book. Ezekiel is not easy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Equip Asia:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Finally, thank you for praying for us as we work with our students. They are getting all their work done, but we are concerned for one of them who has a blood disorder. She just spent a few days in the hospital getting a blood transfusion. Please pray for Cel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
