Wow, some days I didn’t think I’d make it.\u00a0 But as of last week I, Lawrence, have finished formal language study here.\u00a0 Now I know how a young child feels.\u00a0 First,\u00a0by saying what you want to say with only the words you have learned so far.\u00a0 Second, and most importantly, learning how to take getting laughed at when the word you choose isn’t quite ‘spot on.’<\/p>\n

To complete the course, a ‘paper’ had to be written.\u00a0 I wrote on\u00a0different places to live here, from the simplest of houses to high-rise apartements.\u00a0 If you are interested, you can click here<\/a> and read my paper.<\/p>\n

Language will continue to be something that has to be worked at.\u00a0 Honestly, sometimes I can’t speak English right!\u00a0 Our upcoming move to Borneo will, I am sure, bring some\u00a0 variations to the national language.\u00a0 It is our desire to speak like the locals.<\/p>\n
