{"id":21,"date":"2009-06-06T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2009-06-06T04:00:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2015-12-23T03:06:12","modified_gmt":"2015-12-22T20:06:12","slug":"we-have-arrived-in-borneo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/lawrence-elroy\/?p=21","title":{"rendered":"We have arrived in Borneo"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!--StartImportPhoto--><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/lawrence-elroy\/files\/2009\/06\/1840_57367.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-104\" style=\"margin-right: 10px; margin-bottom: 5px;\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/lawrence-elroy\/files\/2009\/06\/1840_57367.jpg\" alt=\"Boarding the plane\" width=\"300\" \/><\/a><!--EndImportPhoto--><\/p>\n<p>Well, we made it to the island of Borneo.\u00a0 But lets back-up to May.\u00a0 Seth and I grew another year older.\u00a0 Mothers day was, well simple &#8211; but we our family sure appreciates Jodie &#8211; mom, wife, our supermom!\u00a0 Sarah and Seth finished 8th and 7th grade respectively.\u00a0 Sarah\u2019s grades were honor-roll material and Seth almost made it.\u00a0 Then&#8230; time to move again and say goodbye to our friends on the island we studied language on.<\/p>\n<p><!--StartImportThumbnail--><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/lawrence-elroy\/files\/2009\/06\/1840_57365.jpg\" rel=\"thumbnail\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-104\" style=\"float: left; margin-right: 5px; border: 0.5pt solid #BCC4C8;\" title=\"The final pack the night before\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ethnos360.org\/lawrence-elroy\/files\/2009\/06\/1840_57365.jpg\" alt=\"The final pack the night before\" width=\"150\" \/><\/a><!--EndImportThumbnail--> \u00a0 The question of how to move our belongings 500 miles across the ocean to a new island had to be answered.\u00a0 Many people used a large 20&#8242; crate, but we opted for the \u201ckantor pos\u201d &#8211; better known as the Post Office.\u00a0 By putting a little more work into packing, we only had to pay 1\/4 the cost of a large crate.\u00a0 My co-worker Shad and I built one crate and our national helpers made 3 more just like it.\u00a0 We could have used a couple more, but falling back to using boxes we were able to ship our belongings. The postmaster told us about 15 days, so we still eagerly await our belongings next week.\u00a0 Please pray they all make it, 4 crates and 5 boxes!<\/p>\n<p>Our last week was spent saying goodbye to our national friends, preparing to move out of the house, and a one-day break a the waterpark.
