Will this paper get me to heaven?<\/em><\/a>\u00a0\u00a0just over a year ago.<\/p>\nAfter moving into the building we had a great time of singing and prayer followed by review questions from the previous Sunday’s Acts lesson. When it was asked what the disciples and apostles were waiting for in Jerusalem after Jesus ascension, Siwi said, “They were waiting for the Holy Spirit to come to them. We have already receive the Holy Spirit. No I’m waiting for Jesus to come back and take me to heaven!” AMEN<\/p>\n
Sunday’s time of corporate worship was concluded by observing communion together.\u00a0Following\u00a0a brief time of visiting after church Siwi, like everyone else,\u00a0started toward home; only the home he arrived at was not the one he was anticipating. Or was it?<\/p>\n
Siwi collapsed on his way home and when some nearby people helped him to his feet he said, “My Bible fell on the ground. Get me my Bible.” They handed him his Bible and while he hugged it to his chest they carried him to a nearby house and laid him in the grass outside. As he lay there he said, “I think the Lord is taking me home.” After saying that, the people around decided to move him inside the house. As he lay on the bed inside the house said, “My Bible was outside. Did you guys bring it in?” They responded that they’d brought it in and went to get it for him, but by the time they got the Bible to him, Siwi had already gone HOME.<\/p>\n
Siwi had enjoyed communion with the church here in the morning and only an hour later was enjoying communion with his Savior, whom he was waiting for. The way Siwi departed this world and entered into eternity has left an impact on the church and the community. Though he was small in stature, he was a spiritual giant. We had high hopes of Siwi becoming one of our elders, but God saw fit to take him home first. We have to trust God has a better plan for his church.<\/p>\n
In the past\u00a0month there have been four deaths in the village including Siwi’s and this has stirred up a lot of questions. This week the church has started another Phase 1 (Creation through death, burial, and resurrection) Teaching three times a week.<\/p>\n
